Wow. Want a great idea - combining a lecture with the concept of blogging. I am going to suggest this to my teacher for my marketing class. It is one thing to talk about blogging and it's role in marketing online, but how many student actually blog...business blog. You know, doing what you are talking about...doing the keyword research etc.

Great concept.

As a student who participated in this assignment I found it to be not only rewarding, but very insightful. I was actually against blogging going into the course and now find myself blogging all over. Wonderful concept to add to the class, I truly learned a lot. I hope this is something that you plan to keep with future internet marketers!

Great idea - I run a community relations business in NY and blogging is a valuable tool to better understand issues, place information, read response and guide focus. The down side is that many bloggers use the medium as a bully pulpit without substantiation and that can lead to misinformation, and in my business that can kill valid projects. Like any power tool - use carefully.
