Get your life in order (Part 5)

I highly recommend this product...

[This is PART FIVE of my "Get your life in order" series. In case you missed the first ones, you may want to start from the beginning!]

This is the last segment of this series (I know, I’m pretty sad too)!

The importance of having your life “together” is often overlooked. People either characterize themselves as organized or disorganized, a leader or a follower, persuasive and motivated or not, etc. – the problem with this? These terms are both relative and absolute (which you are not). While the previous statements may characterize you in certain situations, it is invaluable to your personal growth and development to recognize the flaw(s) inherent in your current methods of thinking and understand that your personality is as fluid and dynamic as the situations you encounter in life.

Sure – currently you may be disorganized, shy, overwhelmed, or seemingly stagnant, but under the surface is a strong leader waiting to shine through (in your own way!). Exploring yourself and embracing the obstacles in your life are the first steps to self-awareness. Self-awareness builds the foundation and allows you the strength/knowledge to prepare yourself for expanding your comfort zone and transforming yourself and the life you live into something extraordinary.

THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

    1. Know yourself.
    2. Do your thing.
    3. Evaluate/revise.
    4. Repeat.

Think critically about your life – you have to live with it until you don’t.

It’s as simple and as complicated as that…

 ———————

If you’ve been following this series from the beginning you’ve started creating a comprehensive vision for your life that is based on your core values, organized the clutter in your life, cleaned up your personal brand online, gotten your finances in order, and hit the gym. You’re likely looking better, sleeping better, getting more done, and (hopefully) feeling pretty good!

Take what you’ve learned in this series and DON’T STOP. The key to continuous self-improvement is to immerse yourself in it and create an environment that makes it impossible for you not to succeed. Now that you’ve learned more about yourself, delve deeper and explore your current and potential exploits and translate your effort into tangible success.

Now that you have some of the tools you need, focus on that what really matters to you or those immediate things that are hindering your success, development, etc. [more on road-blocks in a future post]. Before you know it, your effort will be more deliberate and yield better results.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this series and learned some tips/tricks to help achieve your goals (whatever they may be). As you’ve noticed, the process of “getting your life in order” is much more complicated than most “professionals” let on. Don’t be fooled by 12-step processes or cookie-cutter solutions for your problems; you know yourself best and should recognize that self-improvement is continuous.

Rest-assured, I will be posting similar blog series/posts in the future — If you would like to suggest a future blog post topic, feel free to comment below or on Twitter. Thanks for the support and good luck!
