OS Upgrade Microsoft vs Apple: The parable of the boiled frog
The parable of the boiled frog says: If you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water, then the frog will jump out because the change is too great too QUICKLY. To successfully boil the frog, you must SLOWLY change the heat , so that the frog gets time to adapt…and cook.
Microsoft has planned a frog-boiling party in the first part of 2007 when Vista is released and everyone has to switch AND upgrade their hardware to enjoy the benefits. Apple boiled a whole bunch of OS X frogs a few years back by allowing users to slowly migrate.
