there is a dichotomy forming in google. the old guard says “do no harm” and focuses on creating new tools to encourage education and the dissemination of information.
the new guard is all about market position and traffic (for the purpose of generating increased ad revenue).
i ask you, why did google decide it is necessary to purchase youtube? the already had a comparable with google video.
this is the beginning of the end of google’s greatness.
